Cubist Systematic Launches Quant Academy Program

Cubist Systematic Strategies has launched a Quant Academy program to introduce exceptional candidates to systematic trading at Point72. The Quant Academy features a rotational program on teams within Cubist, where fellows spend several months within different groups, learning about all aspects of the quant research life cycle.

The program builds on Point72’s longstanding tradition of building homegrown talent, beginning with the Point72 Academy, which teaches recent college graduates how to become analysts in our Long/Short Equity business.

The Quant Academy has had early success—our first fellows recently earned permanent roles on Cubist teams. More fellows are currently on rotations, while our largest group to date is joining the firm later this year. We’re looking for exceptional candidates with advanced degrees in statistics, computer science, applied mathematics, physics, or other quantitative disciplines.
