Point72 Academy Hosts Inaugural Spring Insight Program in London

Point72 Academy was thrilled to recently host its inaugural Spring Insight Program in London for eight university students. This year’s program was an in-person, one-week immersion experience for students planning to graduate in 2026 who were eager to learn more about our business and firm culture. Our goal was to increase students’ awareness and access to a career in investing.
Over the course of five days in our London office, participants learned from our Academy staff and analyst coaches about the role of a Point72 investment analyst, and participated in a series of training sessions on how to critically evaluate stocks. The group also heard from Jean Horenstein, Operating Officer for Investment Professional Development (IPD), and got to know our Head of UK, Will Tovey, over lunch.

Throughout the program, participants were asked to evaluate a single stock. At the end of the week, they then presented pitches and received feedback from Jean; Sam Elsokari, an Analyst Coach who works with our EMEA Long/Short analysts; and Alice Owen, a London-based Program Specialist on our Investment Professional Development team. The group also met with members of our Long/Short Equity business, including analysts and senior management, to learn about the different ways analysts have shaped their careers at Point72.
