Point72 Career Development Leaders Speak at Asia Investment & Banking Conference

In August, a trio of Point72’s career development leaders spoke at the Asia Investment & Banking Conference (AIBC) in Hong Kong. Adam Brooks, Academy Development Manager; Sonia Yu, Head of Investment Professional Development and Point72 LaunchPoint in Asia Pacific; and Enrica Cheung, Academy Recruiter, provided career advice during the two-day event.

The AIBC was launched over a decade ago as a platform for vibrant exchange of ideas and perspectives amongst established professionals and students from leading universities worldwide and is considered Asia’s largest student-run conference on financial services. This year’s program focused on providing a well-rounded perspective on pertinent industry opportunities and delivering insights on important trends in the region, as well as offering competitions, interactive workshops, and networking sessions.

Adam Brooks shared lessons on stock picking into earnings, while Sonia and Enrica participated on panels on career development in the asset management industry and graduate recruitment, respectively. Adam and Sonia also joined Marc Desmidt, Head of Asia Pacific, on the judging panel for the stock pitch competition.
