Point72 is proud to have once again sponsored the Nanyang Capital Stock Pitch Challenge in Singapore earlier this month.

For this year’s challenge, undergraduate students from universities across Singapore were asked to pitch a long or short recommendation on select public equities and present a deck and financial model to support their case. The top six finalist teams were then given the opportunity to present their recommendations to a panel comprised of a professor from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and Point72 investment and career development professionals. This year, Point72 representatives included Rob Edmiston, Head of Singapore and AeJ L/S Equities Executive; Eleanor Kim, Research Analyst; Brian Mulvihill, Point72 Academy Development Manager; and Anthea Lai, Program Specialist, Investment Professional Development.

Nanyang Capital is the first student-led equity research and stock pitching club at NTU. The one-month-long competition aims to provide a platform for participants to network with like-minded peers as well as industry executives.

Congratulations to all the finalists and thank you to everyone who dedicated their time to make this event so successful. We look forward to next year’s challenge.
