Point72 Sponsors Second GYOSEKI Competition in Tokyo

Point72 is proud to have once again sponsored the GYOSEKI competition held at the Tokyo Stock Exchange. The competition, which Point72 has sponsored since its inception in 2023, reinforces the firm’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of talent in the financial services industry.
Over a two-month period, college students assumed the role of business analysts, diving deep into the financials of three selected companies using a number of tools and resources provided by GYOSEKI Partners. This year, they were tasked with analyzing each business and make earnings projections.
Participants and judges then assembled at the Tokyo Stock Exchange for the final event, where finalists were asked to present their analysis in front of a panel of eight judges made up of representatives from Point72, Japan Post Bank, Luxence Capital, and Sangyo Sosei Advisory. Finalists were graded based on the quality of their analysis as well as their ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
Point72 also hosted an exclusive teach-in and a series of panel discussions, and several members of our Academy team met with students participating in the competition.
