Last month, Point72 sponsored and participated in Women in IT Career Day – a virtual event dedicated to ambitious women in Central and Eastern Europe eager to actively shape their career path in the IT industry. We had several members of our Technology team in Warsaw share their insights with the over 4,000 virtual attendees on overcoming workplace challenges, how to keep up with tech trends, and the importance of diversity in the field.
Our panel participants included Tech Recruiting Manager Paula Lewandowska discussing the most crucial competencies sought in today’s job market; Maciej Olejnik, Head of Poland Technology Operations, on how to hire strong tech talent; and Jakub Les, Head of Data Platform Engineering, debating the role of technological platforms in the process of creating innovative business products. In addition to the panel discussions, Software Engineers Lukasz Zajaczkowski and Nithin Subramanian led a workshop on how to build a simple application in 30 minutes using Appian low code BPM.
We are proud to support the advancement of women in IT and look forward to continuing our partnership moving forward.
