Point72 Welcomes 2024 Global Intern Class

This week, we were thrilled to welcome our 2024 summer interns in our offices across the globe. This year’s class is our largest ever, with more than 180 interns representing 56 universities globally.
These talented students are working across businesses and departments throughout our firm. Approximately 80 interns are working within our investment strategies, including Long/Short Equity as part of the Point72 Academy Investment Analyst Summer Internship program, Cubist, and Global Macro. Additionally, over half are spread out across teams within Investment Services, which supports our investment professionals in roles across Market Intelligence, technology, finance, compliance, operations, and more.
Our New York and Stamford interns started their summer with an activity-filled day, including receiving an overview of Point72 from Chris Jackson, Chief Operating Officer for Point72 Private Investments, group meals, an art tour around the office, and a Mets game at Citi Field. And across our London and APAC offices, interns had welcome lunches with their region heads and enjoyed happy hour drinks with their new peers and colleagues. We look forward to welcoming interns in Warsaw next month.
Throughout the summer, interns will learn from mentors, teammates, and guest lecturers, as well as hear from Point72 leadership in a weekly speaker series. They’ll also get to know one another during special events including a cooking class, volunteer opportunities, a block party, and more.
