Rob Edmiston, Head of Singapore, Speaks to SMU Students

Around 50 SMU students heard Rob discuss his career, Point72, the importance of finding a place to work that invests in you, and the trait that he sees in the best investors.

Rob Edmiston, Point72’s Head of Singapore and Asia Ex-Japan Long/Short Equities Executive, recently spoke to undergraduate and graduate students at Singapore Management University as part of their “In Conversation” series of lunchtime events with experienced professionals.

Rob spoke about Point72’s culture, investment in talent development, global footprint and growth strategy; gave his advice on the importance of finding a place to work and a manager that will nurture your career; and the need for humility in an investing career. He shared that a common trait he sees among the best investors is the ability and desire to keep learning.
