This April, we were thrilled to host our third UK Spring Insight Week in our London office. The program is a one-week experience for first- and second-year undergraduate students to explore what a career in investing could look like. From building connections across the firm to getting a real glimpse into the lives of our investment professionals, it’s a potential first step toward a career at Point72.
Over the week, participants heard from Portfolio Managers and Analysts, learned valuation techniques and stock analysis, and putting their skills to test in a Bull Bear debate – all while discovering where their own interests fit within the world of investing.
In addition, students got to hear directly from an incoming Academy associate, whose own journey at Point72 journey began right where theirs is starting. After first experiencing the Spring Insight Week program himself, he went on to complete the Academy Summer Internship and will soon be joining the firm as a full-time Academy Associate. He spoke with students about his experience navigating the recruiting process and what to expect from an internship at Point72. His full circle story is a testament to what this week can set in motion.
