Last week, we celebrated moving into our new San Francisco office — an important milestone in our growth in the Bay Area.
The new space will support Point72’s expanding team in San Francisco, which comprises both investment professionals and key operational functions.
Since 2017, Point72 has built a strong presence in the Bay Area. Our new office represents the next chapter in the region and creates a space where our teams can collaborate and grow while staying connected to a city at the forefront of technology, capital, and innovation.
Colleagues, partners, and community leaders gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the official opening, with the Point72 Turion team, our San Francisco-based, AI-focused public equities fund, also in attendance. Harry Schwefel, President and Co-Chief Investment Officer, and Michael Sullivan, Chief of Staff, joined several San Francisco-based Portfolio Managers to do the honors. The opening comes at a time of broader momentum across Point72’s equities strategy, including the launch of Valist Asset Management earlier this year.
The celebration wrapped up with a reception, where San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie joined the event to congratulate Point72 on its ongoing investment in the city.

The mayor’s attendance speaks to the shared role civic leadership and the business community can play in fostering San Francisco’s continued advancement, downtown revitalization, and support for the local economy.
Importantly, the opening reflects a core belief: in our view, AI is reshaping markets and industries, creating opportunity for divergent perspectives between the East and West Coasts. Our presence in San Francisco provides a critical viewpoint on the trends and technologies that could drive markets forward.
