Point72 has grown significantly in recent years across virtually every metric—AUM, headcount, global footprint, business mix. To ensure the firm’s management structure matches its current scale and future ambitions, a new Executive Committee has been formed.
Our Founder and CEO Steve Cohen will continue to serve as Chairman, CEO, and Co-CIO, overseeing the firm’s day-to-day operations, investment strategies, and growth initiatives.
The committee also includes Harry Schwefel as President and Co-CIO, working across Point72’s discretionary, macro, and systematic strategies; Gavin O’Connor as Executive Vice President, overseeing strategy, risk, technology, and investor relations; Vincent Tortorella as Chief Operating Officer, leading investment services, finance, legal, and compliance; and Michael Sullivan as Chief of Staff and Head of External Affairs, overseeing government relations and corporate communications.
In many ways, these changes reflect and formalize how the firm has already been operating. Harry, Gavin, Vincent, and Michael are long-tenured leaders who have each played an instrumental role in building Point72 for many years. This structure reflects the depth of talent we have developed from within and will help the firm stay disciplined and collaborative as it continues to grow.
“Our ability to deliver consistent risk-adjusted returns across different market environments reflects the quality of our people and the strength and diversity of our platform,” Cohen said. “As the world continues to change, I remain fully committed to driving innovation and the strategic direction of the firm. I’m proud of the progress we’ve made, but the opportunity ahead of us is what energizes me the most.”
