Andrew Benito is an Economist and Strategist at Point72 based in London, focusing on UK and global macroeconomic developments. In his role, he analyzes economic data and macroeconomic policy to assess their implications for financial markets.

Prior to joining Point72 in 2025, Andrew was Head of European Macro Research at Eisler Capital. Before that, he was a Managing Director in Global Macro Research at Goldman Sachs. Earlier in his career, Andrew worked at the Bank of England, where he held a number of roles and completed secondments to the International Monetary Fund during the Global Financial Crisis and to the Bank of Spain during the introduction of the euro.

Andrew earned a PhD and an MSc in economics from the University of Warwick, and a BSc in economics from Cardiff University. He is the author of several articles in economics and finance, and his research has been published in several academic journals.
