Geoffrey Lauprete is the Head of Cubist Systematic Strategies, the quantitative investing arm of Point72. Mr. Lauprete previously spent 17 years in senior roles at WorldQuant, including Chief Investment Officer and Vice Chairman. In those capacities, he oversaw investment research, trading, risk management, and capital allocation, and helped shape the firm’s direction and growth across equities and other asset classes. Prior to joining WorldQuant in 2007, Mr. Lauprete was a Portfolio Manager at Millennium for nearly five years, a Quantitative Analyst at Deutsche Bank in London, and a Data Analyst at Numeric Investors. He holds a PhD in operations research from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BS in physics from Tufts University.
