Jonathan Cain

Jonathan Cain is the Chief of Staff to Point72’s Co-Chief Investment Officer, where he plays a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of the long/short (L/S) business by developing and facilitating key initiatives and ensuring alignment across the long/short leadership team.

Mr. Cain held leadership positions in the firm’s L/S business for nearly ten years prior to this role.

Before joining Point72, Jonathan worked at McKinsey & Company for eight years as a leader in the firm’s North America TMT and Marketing & Sales practices. He also served as a Litigation Partner at Kiely Thompson Caisley, Barristers & Solicitors in Auckland, New Zealand, and as Legal Counsel at London Transport in London, England.

Jonathan earned a BS in commerce, a BA in law, and a JD in commercial law from the University of Auckland. He also attended New York University, where he earned his MBA.

Mr. Cain was born in Gore, New Zealand and currently resides in New Canaan, CT.
