Shinji Ogawa serves as the Head of Japan at Point72, where he is responsible for overseeing the firm’s operations in Japan, ensuring alignment with Point72’s strategic objectives across the Asia-Pacific region.

Mr. Ogawa has over 20 years of industry experience, working across various roles in the Japan equity market. Prior to joining Point72 in 2025, Mr. Ogawa was a Managing Director at JPMorgan and served as the Head of Equity Distribution in Japan.  During his tenure, he helped enhance the franchise’s capabilities and strengthened its regional presence. Prior to JPMorgan, Mr. Ogawa was a Portfolio Manager at Evolution Japan Asset Management. He began his career in equity cash sales at Lehman Brothers.

Mr. Ogawa earned a BS in business administration from Boston University.
